Hello!

30 Day Experiment

Life & Spirituality

July 31, 2019

Want to pick up a new habit or break an old pattern?

Part of any new habit is making it past the 1st month.  Thinking we must give up something for an entire lifetime is overwhelming to consider so many times we give up or never get started.

For instance, here are some things I have considered lately:
– cutting out eggs & dairy
– getting up earlier
– cutting out the news
– intermittent fasting
– reading an hour a day

Other ideas I’ve heard are to become a better listener to your partner, establish an exercise program, introducing yourself to someone new each day.

Whatever it is, to commit to it for the rest of your life can be daunting!

So there’s a powerful and simple technique I learned from the book “Personal Development for Smart People”, and it’s trying on a new habit for 30 days. That’s it! A 30 day experiment.

Why not try it on for 30 days.  After all, we can do anything for 30 days!

At the end of 30 days you’ll decide if you want to continue. If you experience a positive result, you’ll have gone far enough to establish a new behavior as a habit making it easier to continue because now you’ve got momentum on your side.  Or at the end, you’re free to return to the old way.

When will you begin and what will you try on?
